PlanItUp offers a streamlined approach to event planning, effectively reducing the time spent on coordination and increasing the time available for social interactions. The platform addresses common challenges associated with organizing gatherings, particularly cumbersome decision-making processes and lengthy messaging threads.

With PlanItUp, users can create events by presenting up to three options for date, location, and time—essential elements that define any gathering. Once invitations are sent, participants can view these options and cast their votes anonymously, fostering an environment where individuals can select their preferences without peer pressure. A recommended practice is to eliminate at least one option from each category during the voting process. Following this, PlanItUp manages the decision-making process based on majority rule, allowing for a seamless conclusion to planning. Users are then able to inform their friends of their attendance status, building anticipation for the event.

Furthermore, PlanItUp emphasizes efficiency by allowing users to determine the date and location before receiving time slot options. This structure enhances the accuracy of scheduling, as it accommodates potential reservation constraints found in venues like restaurants.
